Catfish

Directed by Henry Joost, Supermarche, 2010. Nev Schulman,

Genre: Documentary.

Question: Have you ever had an interesting relationship that you wanted to start documenting? Well, that is what these three guys did and what they discovered while filming turned out to be more interesting they could have ever imagined.

"Catfish" is the first documentary that I am reviewing. I probably won't review many documentaries because I don't usually watch a lot. However, six months ago or so when this came out there was all this buzz so I added it to my queue. Well, it arrived yesterday and I watched it with my husband.

When we started the movie, my husband asked me what it is about. I told him I didn't know because no one really talked about it. It was supposed to be a surprise. So I am not going to tell you anything about the movie either except to say it was pretty good. It started out as a semi-interesting story, but soon it took an intriguing turn, and then there was a twist that had me fully engrossed. There was a little slow section once we knew what was going on but it ended well.

I can't tell you what the title means either- you'll find that out. But I will say that I recommend this movie. It isn't long and it will make you think twice about something you probably do everyday - something that everyone probably does every day in this day and age. So put it on your queue or download it.

My favorite thing: that no one talked about what this film was about so I was surprised.

My least favorite part: I can't tell you or it will give the story away.

Sequel possibility? Nope.

Did the previews show too much? No, I saw some and I was intrigued to watch it.
